Gabriel Retort, Founding Partner

Gabriel started his career in tax accounting in 2009, and spent 6 years at a Big 4 accounting firm, specializing in high-net worth individuals. After that, Gabriel held a senior-level management position for six years for one of the largest private healthcare companies in the country, running the business and individual tax group. He has expertise in payroll, expatriate tax, flow-through entity tax, and individual tax.

Gabriel lives in southern California with his wife, Catherine, and three young children. He can often be found tinkering on home improvement projects and automobiles, or exploring the great outdoors with the kids.

He holds a B.S. in financial economics from the University of Redlands.

Catherine Retort, Founding Partner

Catherine started her career in accounting in 2007. She spent six years at a Big 4 accounting firm, and expanded that experience with serving for several years as a Vice President and Controller at a Fortune 1000 bank subsidiary. Her expertise lies in audit and attestation (government and for-profit), financial planning & analysis, payroll & bookkeeping.  

She lives in southern California with her husband, Gabriel and their three young children. While time with family consumes most of her spare time, she enjoys taking the kids to local amusement parks and squeezing in her guilty pleasures of Grey’s Anatomy and Poldark.

Catherine is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in Financial Economics and Accounting from the University of Redlands.

Oliver Green, Founding Partner

Oliver started his career in tax accounting in 2006. After spending a decade at a Big 4 accounting firm, Oliver left to expand his career at a smaller firm focused on providing tax compliance and planning services to business owners . His core experience is in trust and estate income tax, expatriate tax, flow-through entity tax, and individual tax. Before becoming an accountant, Oliver was a small business consultant, focused on strategies to improve long-term operational and financial performance.

When not in the office, Oliver lives in southern California with his wife and two young sons. He spends most of his free time trying to keep up with his children, but in spare moments, he enjoys building custom wooden surfboards and catching the odd wave or two.

Oliver is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and has an undergraduate degree from Columbia University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota.
